Google Latitude - a way to keep track of your friends' current whereabouts

Google Latitude enables you to track friends, family, employees and others — and vice versa — in real time

Google Latitude is a free application that brings location tracking to your mobile phone even without GPS. That means if you are travelling with a mobile phone that has Google Latitude installed, your family members and friends can track your exact location on Google Maps through any Internet connected computer.

Google Latitude determines your current location using the nearby cell phone towers. If, for some reason, Latitude is unable to detect your exact location, you can set it manually on your phone.

How do I get it?
Mobile users need to first have Google Maps 3.0 or above installed. After that, you can install Latitude, Download it from your mobile browser at google.com/latitude. PC users can install the iGoogle gadget by starting from the Google Latitude site, wwww.google.com/latitude
