Google Talk Bots - A [Virtual] friend in need is a friend indeed

1. Translation – Use translation bots to translate words & sentences from one language into another, to do so, you need to add the relevant bot (e.g. hi2en@bot.talk.google.com for Hindi to English or en2hi@bot.talk.google.com for English to Hindi) as your contact in google talk, send him a message and it will get translated instantly. These bots never go offline, as long as you are available online ;-)

few sample translation bots,

en2hi@bot.talk.google.com - English to Hindi translation
en2ar@bot.talk.google.com - English to Arabic translation
en2fr@bot.talk.google.com - English to French translation

Find here all available translation bots

2. Transliteration - Transliteration lets you type Indic words phonetically in English script and still have them appear in their correct alphabet. Please note that this is not the same as translation. The sound of the words are converted from one alphabet to the other, not their meaning. To use a bot, add it to your contact list and send it the message you want transliterated. For example,
if you send "Namaste" to en2hi.translit@bot.talk.google.com (English to Hindi), it will respond with "नमस्ते"
if you send "ithu eppudeei?" to en2ta.translit@bot.talk.google.com (English to Tamil), it will respond with " இது எப்புடீய்?"

few sample transliteration bots,
en2hi.translit@bot.talk.google.com - English to Hindi transliteration
en2ta.translit@bot.talk.google.com - English to Tamil transliteration
en2ma.translit@bot.talk.google.com - English to Malayalam transliteration

3. Xpenser – You can record your expenses via email, SMS, twitter and GTalk. Add xpenserbot@gmail.com as your contact and send a message like "taxi 25 to chennai" and that will be added as an expense to your online spreadsheet accessible from http://www.xpenser.com/, read more...
